etoile is a map of tech events and communities. It brings events from across Belgium and the Benelux into one place you can browse without logging in, and gives organisers a home for their community: event pages, registration, embeds for their own website and a weekly newsletter.
Why we built it
There’s no central place for tech events. They’re spread across Meetup, Luma, Eventbrite, personal websites and LinkedIn posts, in a country with three governments and four languages. If you want to know what’s on this week, you open six tabs and still miss half of it.
How do you bring an ecosystem together? First you show that it exists.
Where it’s going
etoile started in July 2025 as belgiumtech.events, a simple map and directory with 25 events. Organisers asked for more, so in January 2026 it became etoile, a full platform with community pages, Meetup import and newsletters.
We tried to make it a complete product for organisers, and learned that the part people value most is the simplest one: seeing everything happening this week in one place. So that’s the focus now, a public map that keeps itself up to date.
